2012

First meeting

On a sunny day shortly after moving into the UCLA dorms, Kim and Jonathan met during a Sproul 6 South floor excursion. Their very first conversation was a bet on who would win in a duel of Super Smash Bros.

2013

Started Dating

Kim and Jonathan's first date was at the Santa Monica pier. They watched Thor 2, rode the West Coaster and ate sushi afterwards. Jonathan nervously held Kim's hand for the first time on the walk back to the dorms.

2016

Graduated UCLA

After years of late night runs to De Neve dining hall, spontaneous adventures with life-long friends and seemingly endless study sessions in the Powell library, Jonathan and Kim graduated UCLA. It was a bittersweet moment leaving the campus where they first met.

Became Paw-rents

In the throws of remote work and unprecedented times with a global pandemic, Kim and Jonathan decided to adopt their first dog together. They agreed to name her Toph - after a feisty earth bender from one of their favorite shows Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Proposal

Jonathan planned an elaborate proposal to Kim by secretly inviting their closest friends and family to the Monarch Butterfly Grove in Pismo Beach. A decade of cherished memories and unwavering love for one another culminated in one moment. She said yes!
